Jay-Z talks about "special" guests at his Brooklyn performances, and why he had to cap it off at eight shows at Barclays Center.

The man has been rubbing shoulders with some elite company for awhile, but recently he’s been with the elite of the elite.  Jay-Z recently had a fundraiser for President Obama, who even made an appearance at Jigga’s Made In America Tour.  Hov was on hand at his 40/40 Club in Manhattan for the NBA 2K13 launch which featured Meek Mill, Nas, comedian Tracy Morgan and all-NBA forward Kevin Durant

While on the red carpet, Rolling Stone asked Jay about performing in Brooklyn at the Barclay’s Center which plays home to his very own newly minted Brooklyn Nets.  When asked about what big names people could expect as guests at the Brooklyn shows, Jay-Z maintained that it would be just him, as he wants to soak up the spotlight in his hometown. No one's appearing, no one's performing. It's Brooklyn! This is my one chance to be selfish. Can't I? Can't I be selfish?” jokingly, he added, “Just for these eight shows – then I'll get back to my "Jay-Z & Friends" shows.”

He had added additional dates to his performances at Barclays, and when asked why he couldn’t add more, the veteran rapper said he didn’t have anymore energy, “My stamina. When I got to eight, I felt like I would probably fall over from exhaustion. It was just eight shows. Eight shows for H.O.”
