If you're easily offended stray far away from this one; the chorus alone would have certain more sensitive blogs penning furious op-eds. On Niqle Nut & G Perico's new collaboration "Today," the pair immediately strike an X-rated tone. With a chorus that basically recounts the plot-line of an amateur porno, Niqle Nut establishes himself as a ruthless brand of playboy with an eye for particularly promiscuous women. Deadstarbeats provides a piano-driven soundtrack, and while the minor-key progression does bang, it imbues the track with an inherent menace. While perhaps intentional, it does feel a little jarring beneath such sexually charged lyrics.
G Perico puts his foot down during the track's latter half, taking aim at his detractors. "I be doin' what the fuck I want," he proclaims during his opening stanza; it soon becomes evident that telling him different would be unwise. Perico has kept busy, having recently dropped off a collaboration with Daz Dillinger called "N***z Know."
