After closing out 2017 with a series of freestyles, Calez has opened up the new year with his "Boss Sh!t" single. Recently announcing the arrival of his POPPA EP, the Chicago-bred rapper has given us just a taste of what to expect once that gets here.
On it, you'll find production courtesy of Calev as Calez unleashes empowering lyrics aimed toward uplifting the black community. It's a message similar to the one that he left on his last full-length effort Baby, a 10-track outing that put on for the Windy City. Recruiting the likes of Alex Wiley, Kembe X, and Mick Jenkins, it was a project that Calez says was crafted "for those black men that feel pain, imprisoned mentally, physically."
