Raiders players call Miko Grimes a liar.

Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Donald Penn and running back Jalen Richard have shot down allegations made by Miko Grimes, who claims that the Raiders' offensive line planned to let quarterback Derek Carr take several hits earlier this season, which ultimately resulted in an injury.

According to Grimes, the Raiders' offensive line "had a plan" to not protect Carr because he tried to tell his teammates they needed to stand for the flag.

Here's what Grimes had to say this morning on The Breakfast Club (H/T Sporting News).

"(Carr) was against (the offensive line) protesting. And they had a fight in the locker room before that Monday night game with the Redskins. They were fighting in the locker room, and that's the only all-black offensive line in the NFL is the Raiders.

"Derek Carr is a bible-thumper to the fullest. And so he was basically trying to force the players to read the bible before the game, and do all this stuff and they were like, 'No, that's you.' And so he was so upset about it, when the whole offensive line said they were going to kneel, he was like, 'No, you're not kneeling. This is America, you're going to stand for the flag.' And they got in a fight in the locker room, so when they came out to play, they basically had a plan."

However, players who were inside the Raiders locker room are saying there's no truth to anything Miko Grimes said on The Breakfast Club. Both Donald Penn and Jalen Richard took to social media earlier today, calling Grimes a liar.

Penn tweeted, "It’s crazy how people will make up lies and tell a story so false and untrue 2 get them some attention I hope it was worth it all lies." Richard added, "

Additionally, ESPN's Dianna Russini gave a more detailed explanation regarding the discussions among Raiders players about the anthem, saying a Raiders source told her that Grimes' claim "couldn't be further from the truth." According to Russini, another Raiders offensive player texted her, "please don't ask me for a response to dumb stories. Derek is our guy."
