Shy Glizzy and Dave East have joined forces on a track from Glizzy's new Quiet Storm mixtape. While the rappers have much different vocal styles, they both make uncompromising street rap, and make a great, well-rounded team on the track. Glizzy handles the subtly melodic hook, a flow he extends to his voice. Meanwhile, East lands in the same pocket with his verse, while taking it into more traditional NY rap territory.
The 18-track project reminds us that Glizzy is one of the most consistent rappers out. It features guest appearances from Trey Songz, Bigga Rankin, and A Boogie With Da Hoodie, as well as fellow Glizzy Gang members like 30 Glizzy, 3 Glizzy, and Goo Glizzy. It follows his 2016 full length Young Jefe 2. Glizzy landed the biggest hit of his career through his appearance on Goldlink's "Crew" earlier this year.
