One of many perfect West Coast jams on "2 Tha Left."

G Perico has closed an already very strong year on a great note with the release of his 2 Tha Left album. This is the West Coast rapper's third release of the year, following April's All Blue and September's collaborative G-Worthy with Cardo and Jay Worthy. "What's Real" is a highlight from his latest, pairing him with another of California's most consistent street rapper's in Sacramento's Mozzy. Together, they deliver no-bullshit Cali rap that's in tune with the region's history while also feeling fresh and exciting.

The guest appearances on the album are well-selected in general, as Perico works with fellow West Coasters, Nef The Pharaoh, TeeCee4800, A.D., and Bino Rideaux, as well as New Orleans vet Curren$y, who he's collaborated with in the past.

2017 was a great year for Perico, but with arguably his finest work being released last week, things have never looked brighter going ahead.

Quotable Lyrics:
I bring the crips out when I'm in town
When they first see my curls n---as trip out
You ain't never seen somebody like me
Real gangster in the 2018
With my Glock nine
'Cause the whole city on fire
Shouts out to the independent living one time
