Ski Mask The Slump God talks XXXTENTACION, PornHub and more on On The Come Up.

Ski Mask The Slump God's had a major glo up during 2017. The rapper first got his buzz through the Florida rap scene and his clique, Members Only, which also includes his best friend and frequent collaborator, XXXTENTACION. Over the past year, the two of them have managed to establish their own solo careers while still keeping their Members Only clique vibrant in the underground hip hop scene. He's grown to be one of the most promising young rappers to emerge this year. His unique flow and charisma on a mic helped him garner the attention of some of his favorite artists. Recently, Ski Mask pulled up on us for our latest episode of "On The Come Up" to discuss his rap origins, XXXTENTACION and more.

Ski Mask gave us a bit of insight to his origins as a rapper as well as his name. He says the name comes from old times in his life.

"The Slump God came from me when I was taking Xanax. Don't do that nowhere near [me] no more. Xanax doesn't help me be productive or do work... Basically, you don't want to see me rap on Xanax at all," he says.

Meanwhile, the Ski Mask aspect of his name comes from getting things by any means necessary, whether it's the fast way, slow way or the dangerous way. "My name comes from what a ski mask means, in general."

Ski Mask also details his history with XXXTENTACION. The two of them first met after they were locked up in juvenile jail together. While XXXTENTACION was locked up on a gun charge, Ski Mask was in their for petty theft and possession of marijuana. Later on the two connected to form Members Only.

During our latest episode of On The Come Up, he also shares an anecdote about how his former manager is actually a famous pornstar, the rap scene in Florida and more.
