Welcome to Muse Academy.

Yesterday afternoon during ABC's broadcast of the Thunder vs Rockets, Kobe Bryant launched the Canvas City project dubbed "Musecage," which introduced us to "Little Mamba" a purple puppet who helped Kobe breakdown the MVP race between Russell Westbrook and James Harden among other things.

In Kobe's words, per the official press release

"Canvas City: Musecage helps others better their best by delivering complex basketball insights in a light-hearted, easy-to-digest way. The show helps others understand the game at a higher level and offers a new voice to sports storytelling that will hopefully captivate the whole family."

For instance, in the first of two segments, Kobe teaches Little Mamba how to build a "musecage" and how to use the "dark musings" as fuel. In the other, he's breaking down game film of how Westbrook and Harden abuse defenders off the pick and roll.

It's a bizarre mix that definitely shows Kobe in a new light, but it works.
