Asher Roth returns with his take of Action Bronson's "Terry."

Asher Roth has been highly overlooked since dropping his debut album back in 2009. Eight years later and he continues to prove himself as not only an incredible rapper but also, someone that's capable of making some dope music. In a lot of ways, those two qualities aren't synonymous. Over the course of this year, Asher Roth has been relatively quiet for the most part with only a handful of releases under his belt. While he's slated to drop his third studio album, Red Hot Revival, at some point in the near future, there hasn't been much word surrounding it's release. However, Asher Roth delivers new music today with his freestyle over Action Bronson's "Terry."

Asher Roth continues to flex his lyrical abilities on his latest freestyle. Over the smooth production on Action Bronson's "Terry", Asher Roth goes off for two minutes straight. Asher Roth sounds his best on sampled production and on this song, Roth gets really honest about where he's at in life. As opposed to dubbing it a freestyle on Soundcloud, he refers to it as "Entry #8 - Terry" as if it is a journal entry. Throughout the song, Roth expands on his views on his career while addressing finances, family and doubts in his life. It's an introspective and honest offering from Roth and a nice little recap for his fans that have been waiting for an update.

Aside from this song, he's only dropped a handful of other songs this year. Earlier in the year, he dropped "Wu Financial" which featured the Cool Kids. A month prior, he dropped his first solo track of 2017 "More Or Less." While his "Terry" freestyle drops nearly seven months since his last release, hopefully this is a sign that he'll be dropping off a new project in the near future.

I'm trying to make a hundred off a couple cents,
What the fuck is this?
