Overall, Sharpe is an amazing character who always keeps the fans captivated. Although you may not always agree with what he has to say, you cannot help but love his approach to the broadcasting world. Recently, Shannon Sharpe found himself at the center of a viral Twitter campaign. An old clip was resurfaced on Twitter that depicts him telling Skip Bayless a very interesting story. As you can see below, Sharpe explains the time that he was so in love with a woman, he paid for her divorce. Subsequently, Bayless was pretty shocked by the revelation. However, Sharpe maintained that he was so confident in his love for this woman that he expedited her situation. You can probably figure out why something like this would go viral.

Although, Sharpe seems a bit confused as to why this is news. Consequently, he took to Twitter to sound off on the situation. "When I originally said this you didn’t repost it now months and months after the fact," Sharpe wrote. "You repost it now. The clown(s) that paid you to repost it should get their money bck because I promise you and them it’s not having the impact they think. WE’RE GOOD OVER HERE." From there, one fan replied noting that Sharpe did, in fact, make these comments. This led to another response in which Sharpe wrote "I ABSOLUTELY said it and did it You be more shocked at who paid to get it reposted than what I originally did."

At this point, the nature of virality remains a mystery. However, for someone like Sharpe, it is always expected that you can become the main character on Twitter at any time.
