Jay-Z is someone who has been known for his tremendous business acumen over the years. Overall, the artist has made hundreds of millions of dollars off of his business endeavors. For instance, he recently sold his cognac brand D'USSE for a pretty penny. Moreover, he has sold other ventures such as Tidal. When you consider all of these moves, you would assume that Jay has a pretty impressive net worth. Those assumptions would absolutely be correct.

Forbes recently did a report in which they calculated where Jay-Z's net worth stands. Although his net worth was $1.4 billion last year, it is now being reported that he boasts a fortune of $2.5 billion. Jay-Z has sold so many successful businesses as of late that it only makes sense his net worth would be this massive. In fact, this figure makes him the richest rapper alive by a pretty significant margin. While Kanye used to be close, his Adidas failings have crushed his net worth down to about $400 million.

Jay-Z certainly isn't finished when it comes to building his empire. In fact, over the past few months, it has been theorized that he would go into business with Jeff Bezos. This partnership would be a strategic one in order to purchase the NFL's Washington Commanders. The two were seen at dinner together a few months ago, which led to further speculation that they wanted to be business partners. However, they have yet to make any sort of official offer for the team.

If the Commanders deal falls through, there are all sorts of ways Jay-Z can continue building his net worth. Although, it does feel like the legendary artist has his sights set on the sports world. He could always call Michael Jordan, who is prepared to sell his stake in the Charlotte Hornets. Let us know what you think of this latest update, in the comments below.
