Although 6LACK has mostly kept to himself over the last five years, the 30-year-old artist is preparing to step back into the spotlight. His forthcoming effort, S.I.H.A.L., will release later this month on March 24th, marking his first studio album since his 2018 East Atlanta Love Letter. Just last week, 6Lack dropped a teaser single for the album titled "Since I Have A Lover," which has also been confirmed as the acronym for the full project. Now, the Altanta-native is back with another taste of what's to come with his latest track, "Talk Back."

The Friday (March 10) release of "Talk Back," proves to be hard-hitting and edgy, as opposed to the soft romantic essence exuded in his last single. Throughout the track, 6LACK alludes to focusing on what matters rather than getting distracted. He notes hate comments, singing "heard 'em talkin' down that shit just roll off," and continues to showcase his on-brand unbothered persona while adding a simple, "I do not care."

6LACK's Back, "S.I.H.A.L." To Drop This Month

6LACK also posted another audio on his streaming profiles last week, although not accompanied by any music. Instead, he took a raw approach to address his lack of musical commitment, in what he called "A Letter To My Fans." In his recognizably soothing voice, the "Prblms" singer says blatantly that "this took longer than I promised, but some promises are meant to be broken." He clarifies by adding, "when it comes to time and growth, there's no skipping any part of the process so you just end up repeating lessons that you should have definitely learned from by now."

While acknowledging the significant time that has rolled by since his second studio album, 6LACK also discloses how he's been preparing S.I.H.A.L. for the past five years. Just from the two tracks released in anticipation of the project, it's easy to assume that March 24th will deliver some heat. For more news on hip-hop and pop culture, be sure to check out HNHH.

Quotable Lyrics:

I stopped makin' excuses and speakin' on things I don't know
You should do the same, that should be your one goal
Another million, I'ma need a drumroll
Been through the rain without a poncho
And it ain't all about the hundos
But I'ma use them hundos to buy my block, I'll see you at the top
