He told boxing fans to show Fury love after winning instead of hyping Jake Paul.

The Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight was one of the year's most anticipated bouts thus far. Considering we're just about three months into 2023 doesn't say much, but Fury and Paul have been trading insults for years. They finally settled the score in the ring with an intense exchange. Paul has moved from a YouTube star to a formidable fighter who boasted a blemish-free record before his Fury face-off. However, Tommy was determined to take the victory.

Once he triumphed over Paul, the internet—and sports industry—lit up with reactions. Several professional athletes, including NBA icon Stephen Jackson, weren't happy to see how the public reacted. He isn't one to mince words regarding significant moments in entertainment or politics. He took a moment to share brief commentary on Fury and Paul. "Jake gotta be payin' all y'all," said Jackson. "The man lost! Give Tommy Fury his love."

Because Paul has developed a far-reaching fanbase that goes beyond actual lovers of the sport of boxing, and timelines have been flooded with Fury hate. The British fighter had his first professional bout in 2018 and, since that time, has gone undefeated. "Everybody knew when he fought a real boxer what was gon' happen," said Jackson. "Bro, y'all got to stop. People that know boxing knew this was gonna happen. But y'all keep posting this man tryin' to blow him up. 'Oh, he still knocked two people down.'" He brought up Adrien Broner as an example.

"Y'all know what y'all did to Adrien Broner when he lost a fight? Y'all killed him! And he a real boxer! He done beat a lot of people." Jackson mentioned Broner's stats, including winning in varying weight classes. "Stop it, bruh. Y'all got to stop it. Y'all was killin' my man AB when he lost the fight. This man got knocked out! Give Tommy Fury his love instead of keep posting, 'Jake still knocked two people down.'"

Jake Paul Enjoys His Defeat

Jake Paul is still living the good life with his record now forever marred. Immediately following his loss, Paul took to social media to tell the world he still made $30 million from the fight, so no tears were shed about the outcome. Check out Jackson above.
