Cam’ron Flips Cindy Lauper’s “Time After Time” Into “Dime After Dime”

After flipping Vanessa Carlton's classic hit "A Thousand Miles" back in March into a street banger that runs for "10,000 miles," NYC veteran & Dipset rapper Cam’ron decides to return to the scene today and take on another classic record, this time flipping Cindy Lauper’s 1983 smash hit "Time After Time" into what he calls "Dime After Dime.”

Leaving the same 80's production intact, Cam’ron delivers a new hustler’s anthem that finds him reflecting on his past drug dealing days and seeing the addiction from fiends in the process. “Lennox Terrace was my stash house/ Right by the bathe house/ Moving ya twice a day, had ‘em bring the cash out,” Cam’ spits.

As for the visual, it’s pretty straight forward and inline with the lyrics as Cam’ron can be seeing posted up on the neighborhood block and kickin’ it at the stash house portraying the street life. It follows up his latest release “D.I.A,” which dropped last month. Check it out (above) and let us know what you think. What other classic record (non hip-hop) would you like to hear Killa Cam tackle in the future?

In other related news, the veteran emcee is reportedly planning on releasing a new album later this year as well, so keep your eyes peeled for details on that moving forward. And to go along with the album, Cam’ron is also planning on releasing a new movie as well. "We're gonna put a movie out with the album and keep putting movies after that," he said, "So instead of shooting nine, ten, eleven videos what we're doing is writing a script.” You already know this is going to be dope. So stay tuned.

Quotable Lyrics:

Pulled up in Benzo’s I don't do the friend zone
Ballin’ like an athlete but never touched the end zone
Ringside at floor fights, diamonds fucked up her eye sight
Ho get your mind right don't try from the blind side
