Criticized for performing at Trump's inauguration, there's no doubt Chrisette Michele hopes put the bad press behind her with this remix to Drake's "Passionfruit." It's not a bad play. The track's success -- hot off More Life -- might well rub off on her.
The talented vocalist puts her skills on display, taking the song's lyrics to a much higher octave. Drake's vocals remain but Chrisette's dominate the remix, turning it into a duet, much to her advantage. Her strong soulful vocals contrast with the song's cool Carribean rhythms. "Passionfruit" -- announced as one of the 6 God's next singles -- is one of the rapper's softer sounding songs on the recently released playlist.
