Montreal rapper and producer Ana Log is back with another track today, once again concocting an icy, minimally futuristic instrumental and complimenting it with some cerebral, stream-of-consciousness rhymes that recall the work of Anticon's roster; more specifically the twisted wordplay of Yoni Wolf. The quivering synth riff that drives the record never quite decides whether to ascend or descend, instead falling into a woozy wave-like feel, matching the unpredictability of Ana Log's delirium-conjuring rap style.
"Chopsticks" follows recent releases "When I Ro Thru" and "Photoswipe," adding to the experimental emcee's growing SoundCloud catalogue. No word on when we'll be getting a proper full-lenth project, but stay tuned for more new music soon enough.
Quotable Lyrics:
Think I'm over over-thinking
Think I'm over sober-thinking
Think I'm sober over drinking
Over-drinking, over-sober
And the brink of closure sinking
