Listen to Ana Log's new track "Sweater Weather Freestyle."

Montreal's Ana Log has returned with another new track, his fourth since early November. His self-produced records are usually filled with mysterious bleeps and ambient textures, but his latest is a freestyle over "Sweater Weather," a 2012 song from the indie rock group The Neighbourhood.

As usual, Ana Log takes listeners for a strange, improvised trip through his mind. The highlight has to be the song's hook, as he stops rapping and slowly sings, "Lost your love, lost your mind / You're not dead, but there's still time." Despite the morbid lyrics, "Sweater Weather Freestyle" comes across as a charming record.

Quotable Lyrics

Suffocate the slanderous, then dismantle manuscripts
Abandoned ships, I'm talkin' relation
Ain't no stopping me, no watchin', keep walkin' the pavement
