Fi'yah (real name Nicolas Brocks) is a rising rapper from Jackson, Mississippi, but now based in Florida. The emcee's new track, "Darkside" finds him getting personal over a hypnotically sentimental beat. That's not to say the drums don't still bang, but it's clear that Fi'yah knows his strengths, and is building his music around them rather than chasing trends. "I used rap to express myself and motivate others in life," he writes of his approach.
