With everyone going through a slight N.W.A./"Straight Outta Compton" obsession, it seemed like an opportune moment to give Cube a little throwback. In the new N.W.A. film, O'shea Jackson Jr. gives an extremely successful portrayal of his father-- from the viewers perspective, Cube comes out with the W. After you watch the movie, you'll likely get an itch to go back and listen to some old Ice Cube solo material.
In the movie, we get to see the very, very beginnings of what will eventually be Cube's career path-- acting. Taking it back to the "Friday" movie series today, "You Can Do It" was a record released for the "Next Friday" soundtrack in 1999, featuring Mack 10 and female MC Ms. Toi.
