Well, this day had to come sooner or later. After Run The Jewels' Killer Mike and El-P unexpectedly raised $40,000 to recreate their most recent album, RTJ2, with cat sounds last October, the duo have finally shared the first track from the forthcoming project. Here's "Meowrly," the remixed version of the Boots-featuring "Early."
As expected, this shit is pretty abrasive, but what's remarkable is the variety of sounds they were able to get out of cats. Thanks to some skillful chopping, it's hard to imagine what many of the original purrs, growls and meows even sounded like.
