Lil Herb remains one of Chicago's most underrated rappers. He experienced his biggest moment yet with a feature on Nicki Minaj's "Chi-Raq," simultaneously influencing the flows of countless rappers who would take on the instrumental, as well as Nicki herself.

Still, as someone whose style was being copped left, right, and center, Herb stayed rooted within his city's underground scene, quietly releasing one of 2014's best rap full lengths with Welcome To Fazoland. He followed that up with the more spontaneous PPP to cap off the year, but we're still anticipating his next project, which we hope will be the breakthrough Herb so very much deserves.

"Strong" is yet another great example of the rapper's multi-dimensional verses, always balancing personality with thrilling technical skill.
