A$AP Ferg and YG just announced a joint tour that'll be going down this winter, and now they have a joint track to perform onstage together. "This Side" is the first cut we've heard off of Ferg's upcoming Gangsta Grillz tape, which will precede his sophomore album.
Produced by THE FAM, "This Side" is an imposing, gang-referencing track powered by a no-nonsense trap beat. Ferg plays things pretty straight for the dead-eyed hook, but then injects his verses with the chameleonic deliveries we've come to expect from him. YG comes through late in the game for a great guest verse.
Interestingly enough, this beat is identical to one that UK rapper Danny Seth rapped over on his track "I Arise Because" two months ago. Hmmm....
