Cali veterans Dilated Peoples are currently readying their album Directors of Photography for its release on August 12, and today we've gotten the first taste of the project. Teaming with Seattle's legendary Jake One to produce "Show Me The Way," Dilated Peoples also recruit Aloe Blacc for the track's chorus.
Blacc, fresh off his success on Avicii's "Wake Me Up," supplies a soulful hook that meshes well with Jake One's down-home beat, which chops up a piano lines and horn stabs into a rollicking joint. Evidence and Rakaa Iriscience both deliver verses, and then trade bars on the last, showing that they haven't lost a step in the eight years since DP released their last album.
