This week Willie the Kid released the video for "Gettysburg" as a part of the rollout for his 7-song Masterpiece Theatre. The Alchemist produced the entire EP, and he on "Gettysburg" puts his characteristically immaculate sampling on display. For Willie the Kid, connecting with The Alchemist was quite the feat; for his next project he should consider teaming up with Sango, who also hails from Grand Rapids, MI.
The video here, directed by Tekh Togo, is pretty artsy by hip hop music video standards. It's sort of impressionist, a series of vaguely related images of Willie the Kid kickin' it in Grand Rapids at night.
