Wale chops it up with HNHH's Baker about his new mixtape and his upcoming album.

If you're a fan of Wale, chances are you had his recent mixtape Festivus in rotation this holiday season. Although we're now a few months away from his highly anticipated album, The Album About Nothing, Wale still decided to give fans some quality free music, with some solid features to boot.

The rapper was recently in the DMV area, and chopped it up with fellow DMV native and HNHH's own correspondent Baker. The two delved into Wale's Festivus mixtape, and how Wale needed to give fans some music,

"I feel a little uncomfortable when I don't give people [music]," the rapper tells us. "Jay and Ross, they was like, don't drop no free project, I'm just like I can't even sleep at night, I have too. I'm sleeping better now, I'm sleeping 'til 9 o'clock in the morning. Before I was waking up like...I'm a studio rat."

He added, "I'm just trying feed the fans and make sure they happy, and rally up everybody for March 31st."

As for the impending album, Wale says, "This is the most creative musical experience I've ever tried to offer. One of those things that you gunna get this joint or you not. A lot of people ain't gunna get it, but the people that get it are gunna say it's genius. This is my moment to show what I can do from a music director standpoint."

He also reveals near the end of our interview that he's got J. Cole on a hook, plus Jeremih on the previously-released single "Body" (which may get scrapped from the final album tracklist), but apart from that, it's all Wale.
