As many of you probably saw, during Nicki Minaj's MTV VMA performance she experienced a slight wardrobe malfunction, when changing outfits in between her "Anaconda" performance and her "Bang Bang" performance with Ariana Grande and Jessie J. The rapper recently paid a visit to Ellen DeGeneres (who returned the favor with a visual remix of "Anaconda"), and detailed what exactly went wrong during the MTV VMA performance. Nicki explains how she had to change outfits extremely quickly, in pitch-black darkness no less, and right before she went on stage her team realized that the zipper didn't work. Nonetheless Nicki persevered, holding her dress together like a champ. As she tells Ellen, "I was butt-ass naked" underneath the dress.
Ellen gifts Nicki an enormous safety pin to prevent further wardrobe malfunctions. That'll come in handy.
