Meek Mill recently linked up with Complex's Joe La Puma for a new episode of "Sneaker Shopping" at Stadium Goods in New York City, wherein the Philly-born rapper talks about looking up to Sixers legend Allen Iverson, the influence of New Balances in the streets of Philadelphia and his Puma deal.
Speaking on his Puma collaborations, Meek says he has moved on from working with the brand and he appreciates the ability to freely where whatever he wants without any obligations. While working with Puma over the years, Meek Mill collaborated on several different silhouettes including the Puma Basket, the Puma Blaze of Glory and the Puma Challenge. Among his many Puma collaborations was the patent leather "Dreamchasers" collection which featured a Meek Mill x PUMA apparel line that included a t-shirt, hoodie, striker pant, and icon jacket. Unlike some other artist sneaker collabs, Meek's Pumas are still available for less than $50 at spots like DTLR, and Jet.com.
During the episode of "Sneaker Shopping," Meek Mill also spoke about wearing mismatching Air Jordans as a kid, how he used sneakers as motivation and how he got hustled for most of his money and had to rock Pony sneakers for a year straight.
At the end of his trip to Stadium Goods in New York City, Meek racked up $3824.78 worth of merchandise including some Supreme dirt bike gloves, the "Chicago" Air Jordan 10, the "Playoff" Air Jordan 12, "Snakeskin" and "Thunder" Air Jordan 4s, the "Supreme" x Nike Air Max 98, the "Supreme x Vans SK8-Mid Pro and the Nike SB Dunk High "Reese Forbes" Denim.
