Playboi Carti's track "Magnolia" has taken the rap world by storm, so it's only fitting that fans get to know him a bit better.
He sat down with DJ A-Oh of Los Angeles' Real 92.3 to discuss a wide range of topics. One of the most revealing came when the question of influences cropped up. Playboi Carti included names like A$AP Rocky, JAY-Z and Kanye West in the list of those who have influenced him musically. He also says he knows all of them, going so far to call Kanye West a "genius" and a "great dude."
Later on, he had some advice for aspiring emcees who are trying to break into the game. Playboi told it like it is: "don't stop, keeping working and learn from all your mistakes." Truer words were never spoken.
