There's no denying chicken and waffles is a delicious combination, and Los Angeles based fans of said combo now have reason to rejoice. Hip-hop legend Nas has opened a brand new "Sweet Chick" restaurant at 448 N. Fairfax Avenue. The acclaimed restaurant is a joint venture between Nas and chef John Seymour, specializing in southern cuisine, primarily chicken and waffles.

With three New York locations, the move to Los Angeles marks an era of expansion for the "Sweet Chick" business. 2017 seems to be a great year for Nas, who is making some serious moves: dropping an album later this year, growing as a restaurant owner, and enjoying the second season as executive producer of Netflix's The Get Down.

"Sweet Chick's" new Los Angeles location opens today.
