In a recent interview with USA Today Sports, LaVar Ball made some more outrageous comments, even more outrageous than saying his college freshman son, Lonzo, is a better player than Steph Curry right now.
LaVar told USA Today,
"Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one."
“I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left,’’ Ball said. “He cannot stop me one-on-one. He better make every shot ’cause he can’t go around me. He’s not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim.’’
“Now in a game of five-on-five, (Jordan) might do some damage, but I’m going to do some damage too,’’ Ball added.
Those are some laughable claims, especially if you dig into LaVar's stats from 'back in his heyday,' which is exactly what Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell did.
Bell called out LaVar in a series of tweets in which he mentioned that the Ball patriarch only averaged two points per game at Washington St. in '88 while MJ was putting up 35 a night in the league.
He also said what everyone else has quickly learned, "LaVar Ball really will say anything for attention."
