"I didn’t say a word. I was just playing defense."

The Boston Celtics went into Oracle Arena last night and picked up a 99-86 victory over the Golden State Warriors in a game that featured some taunting from the reigning MVP, Steph Curry.

At the end of the third quarter, Celtics rookie Jaylen Brown was tasked with guarding Steph in the final seconds, and as you can see in the clip below not only did Steph hit the shot but he also pointed at Brown afterward and made a gesture that the rook shouldn't have been talking shit.

After the game, Jaylen Brown said Steph's antics were "cute," although he claims he never said a word to Curry.

Per ESPN,

"I didn’t say nothing to him," said Brown, who was part of Boston's bench brigade that helped the Celtics to a 99-86 triumph at Oracle Arena. "I was just playing defense. He hit a good shot. [The pointing] was cute. And he just made a good shot. I didn’t say a word. I was just playing defense. I guess it was good D, and I guess that was the talk he was talking. I don’t know. I didn’t say nothing."

Isaiah Thomas added,

"I mean, they don’t [point] when Avery [Bradley] guards them," Thomas said. "I know that."
