"Forever" is coming soon.

A few days after A Tribe Called Quest's iconic Grammy performance, new details have emerged regarding the upcoming solo album from the group's fallen member, the great Phife Dawg. His first posthumous album will be called: Forever

In November, Desha Head Taylor, the rapper's widow, announced that Phife's solo album was complete and that it would be dropping in early 2017. She broke the news shortly after the release of We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, A Tribe Called Quest's first album in 18 years. There is no update on the release date of Phife's solo project, though the new album title hopefully suggests that the project is right around the corner.

The title was revealed in the lyric video for "Wanna Dance," a new collaboration between Phife and Detroit singer Dwele. "Wanna Dance" features an unreleased verse from the Five Foot Assassin. The song will appear on Forever as well as Dwele's upcoming album, Same Book...New Chapter

Forever will be released via Smokin' Needles Records. Long live Phife!
