The BasedGod's Curse seems to be alive and well.

James Harden and Lil B have an on-going beef that dates back to the 2015 NBA post-season, when the Based God first put his infamous “BasedGod Curse” on the bearded NBA superstar. It was prompted by Harden’s use of Lil B’s cooking dance and then his subsequent refusal to acknowledge the dance’s origination. Whether you believe in the curse or not, James Harden went on to set an NBA playoff record by recording 13 turnovers in a single game against the Golden State Warriors – a game Lil B attended.

Fast forward to this season, and the curse is still going strong. Harden has been unrelenting in his use of the cooking dance and according to the Based God himself, "'The BasedGods' curse made James Harden get record most turnovers this year." James Harden leads the league with 4.6 turnovers per game, totaling an NBA record 370 turnover with one game left to play. Harden’s Houston Rockets are also one game out of the playoffs after making the Western Conference Finals last season.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors just tied the Chicago Bulls’ record for most regular season wins. Whether or not you believe in the Based God’s Curse, it would behoove you to pay your respects to Lil B if you ever invoke the cooking dance. Just in case.
