Dr. Dre wants to build a new performing arts center in Compton.

Dr. Dre called into Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio show this afternoon to discuss his forthcoming Compton: A Soundtrack. Dre told Lowe that he plans to donate all his royalties from the album to build a new performing arts center in Compton.

He also expressed the desire for people to forget about Detox once the album drops and mentioned that the album's lyrics were primarily written by him and two of his new artists, Justus & King Mez.

Dre is premiering the new album tonight at 9EST on Apple Music. Tune in or find a friend with Apple Music for the first listen of what may end up being a seminal hip hop album.
