Mariah The Scientist delivered her very first single since she dropped her debut project, "Master," last year, in the form of "RIP."

Mariah the Scientist just dropped her new single, "RIP," her first release since dropping her debut project, Master, last summer. After the R&B songstress was unable to perform her very first Coachella set last month, which no doubt would have launched her further toward stardom, Mariah decided not to sweat it, and instead dropped her first single of the year on Friday (May 22nd). Mariah has been riding the wave of her debut, co-produced by former tourmate, Tory Lanez, since it dropped last August, but now she's ready to begin a new era, starting with the painfully beautiful "RIP."

With this new tune, which has been described as “an ethereal slow-drip ballad about finding a way to end the pain of never feeling enough for someone else,” along with her promising talent both vocally and lyrically, Mariah is shaping up to be one of the next big R&B girls. Check out the "RIP" visualizer and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

And I use my telescope at night, it won't be for stars
Instead I hope that I can love you from a far
