Lil Durk Delivers A "Street Prayer" For The Trenches

Lil Durk's "Just 'Cause Y'all Waited 2" is out now.

Though fans have been steadily awaiting for No Auto Durk with Metro Boomin, Lil Durk blessed fans this week with Just Cause Y'all Waited 2 to hold fans over. The project is filled with gems from top to bottom with some tracks taking it back to the origins of drill music to others that tap into the melodic, emotionally driven music that's made Durk one of the hottest in the rap game. "Street Prayer" is among the songs that fall into the latter with Durkio bringing unity and breaking down religious barriers.

"We was in the studio having a conversation about Muslims, Christians, Jews, and it's like, everybody makes it a big deal like, 'Oh, he's Muslim, he can't hand with no Christian.' It's so crazy because people say stuff like that," Durk said to Apple. "I just my creativity with it [to say] the streets need a prayer. The kids need a prayer who are out here dying. People who locked up, they need prayers. No matter what your religion is. Everybody needs a prayer."
