A few days back it was reported that the man behind films like Boyz N Da Hood, Baby Boy, 2Fast 2Furious, Poetic Justice, Four Brothers, and Shaft was in the hospital after suffering a "mild" stroke. John Singleton reportedly checked himself into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after he was suffering from pains in his legs after returning from Costa Rica.
His admittance then resulted in him having a stroke in his hospital bed and TMZ now reports that John is in in a coma. The publication details how John's family is in the process of establishing a conservatorship for him. His mother, Shelia Ward, is asking a judge to appoint her temporary conservator since John is "unable to properly provide for his personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter."
John reportedly had several important business deals in the works and was ready to sign a lucrative settlement agreement. Shelia is looking to gain the conservator position so she can settle the deals for her son in hopes of him waking up soon.
We can only hope John's rest is short-lived and he wakes up in due time and gets back to a healthier version of himself.
