Mack Maine and YMCMB defend Bieber after video leaks.

In the wake of his most recent racist video leak, Young Money President Mack Maine has reportedly told TMZ that the Young Money camp is in agreement that Bieber is not a racist and intends to continue working with him in the future.

According to Mack, the entire label has interacted with the young pop star and has detected no discriminatory behavior, noting that the majority of Bieber's posse is black and that he "does not have a slave mentality". He also explained that he believes Bieber has "legitimately adopted the culture of the hip hop, African American culture."

Speaking as a representative for his label, Maine clarified that the camp believes Bieber's age at the time of the recording is extremely relevant to the content. "I remember telling a white man, Chinese man, Black man joke as a kid that was terrible and I told it to my friends because I thought they'd think it was funny," Maine recalled, admitting the actions were wrong but done out of immaturity, not hatred. For all of these reasons, Maine says that Bieber will remain a collaborator.
