November is officially upon us, marking the penultimate month of an amazing 2017 (at least, where music is concerned.) And what a year it has been thus far, stacked with phenomenal releases across all ends of the spectrum, from A-list artists, to cult favorites, to the mixtape warriors. October alone brought two of the year's biggest surprises, with two stellar collaborative albums from Future and Young Thug, and Offset, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin respectively. While those albums are still fresh for listeners to fully digest, they've come to represent one of 2017's most defining qualities - the collaborative spirit.

Producers like Southside and rappers like Future have been outspoken about their creative environment, referring to the studio as something like a familial space, in which collaboration is not only appreciated, but encouraged. Often, a rapper finds a producer who musically encapsulates the perfect vibe, and the pair can't resist linking up to see where that chemistry might go. The musical equivalent to drunkenly telling a friend you have to "hang out more," as let's be honest, many of these collaborations never end up seeing the light of day.

Yet some do, and when they drop, they're generally fire. And while albums like the aforementioned Super Slimey and Without Warning have been occupying the majority of the discourse, 2017 has seen dozens of collaborative drops. And let's be real - the surprise ones always make the best moments. I mean, who can forget the collective excitement when Lil Wayne & T-Pain's T-Wayne album dropped out of the blue?

Check out the full list of every collaboration album to drop this year.
