Jay Electronica is an enigmatic force in the rap game. Rarely do we hear from him, but we're hoping that he'll drop an album in the near future. Throughout the year, he's promised that new music is coming soon, but we don't know exactly what "soon" means at this point. However, with it being the holiday season and all, a producer who's worked heavily with Jay Elec decided to preview some unreleased records from the vault.
As Hip-Hop-N-More points out, a few snippets of unreleased Jay Electronica records have hit the web. A Detroit producer by the name of Cello Martin worked closely with Elec in the early 2000s. He hit the 'Gram to share some snippets this summer, but they only began to surface recently. Some of the records he previewed have already been released while others have yet to see the light of day. One of the track features co-production and a hook from Mr. Porter.
Back in August, Jay Electronica teased new music produced by Swizz Beats. He also shared a snippet of a song produced by The Alchemist. It's unsure where those records might land or if they'll ever be released, but he did reveal this summer that his debut album was going to be dropping soon. Hopefully, 2019 is the year he decides to drop, but it wouldn't be shocking if he didn't.
