Dave Chappelle pulls a solid for two fans who fell victim to a Craigslist scam.

Rule #1: Don't trust anyone on Craigslist. However, a couple in North Carolina had a bit more faith in humanity and spent hundreds of dollars on Craigslist to secure seats for a Dave Chappelle show. This ultimately didn't turn out the way they planned. Not only were they out $500 but they also didn't have tickets to the comedian's upcoming show.

Deidra Dickens was trying to land tickets to Chappelle's Valentine's Day show in Charlotte as a gift to her husband Eddie but unfortunately, the attempt didn't work as planned.

"They were seats one through four so those would be great because I could put my husband in seat one at the end of an aisle and that kind of good stuff," Deidra said to WBTV. Her husband often has to use a wheelchair in public.

She said she dropped $500 through Apple Pay to get the tickets but never received the tickets.

"You have no empathy or goodness, or I don't know, maybe no soul," she said.

Despite being finessed, it seems to have worked out in her favor. Chappelle's team heard about her situation and the comedian personally delivered two tickets to the show as a Valentine's Day gift.

"Someone on my team called me, actually last night, and told me about this situation and we thought it'd be fun to do that for someone for Valentine's Day," he said. "I didn't expect to be on the news doing it but I'm glad, that's good. It's good that people know to always get your tickets from reliable sources and take every opportunity that's presented to you to be kind, especially if it's something that's easy to do."
