"Swag" Kelly arrested in Colorado.

Denver Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was reportedly arrested early Tuesday morning in Englewood, Colorado on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing. According to the Denver Post, Kelly was taken into custody after Englewood Police Department officers were called to a home on the 3200 block of South Lincoln Street because of a man standing outside the residence.

Per the Denver Post:

"While officers were responding they received information that the man was inside the apartment."

"The man was chased out and officers began a search. They found a man who matched the suspect’s description inside a black SUV in the area of the Gothic Theater, the news release said."

Kelly was taken to jail for investigation of first-degree criminal trespass and appeared in court earlier this morning but has since been released.

“We are disappointed that Chad Kelly was arrested early this morning,” the Broncos said in a statement. “Our organization has been in contact with Chad, and we are in the process of gathering more information.”

The 24-year old QB had experienced some off-field issues during his collegiate career, which included stops at Clemson, East Mississippi Community College and Mississippi. After being dismissed from Clemson in April 2014 for conduct detrimental to the program, Kelly starred at Ole Miss for two seasons and was later selected by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2017 draft.
