You can now use the Infinity Blade in "Fortnite."

The developer Epic Games recently announced that they would be pulling their game Infinity Blade from the App store. Their statement, which is polite, doesn't quite give the full picture: “it has become increasingly difficult for our team to support the Infinity Blade series at a level that meets our standards.” It could probably be rewritten as: "we make Fortnite, which is the most popular game on earth, so we don't want to expend any resources on an iPhone game."

For those people who will miss the game, though, Epic has announced a nice little concession for the fans. The Infinity Blade sword will now be available in Fortnite as a "a Mythic melee weapon that deals big damage and destroys structures" that you can find "at Polar Peak." Some of the specific stats of the weapon include: "Primary Fire delivers a powerful sword slash. It deals big damage to enemies and destroys structures in one blow (75 damage to players). Alternate Fire allows the player to leap great distances, destroying objects in its path. Upon landing, it delivers damage and a knock-up to nearby players (25 damage)." Epic explains it in depth here.

In the patch there will also be another new weapon called Ralphie's Revenge, "an accurate and slow firing rifle that rewards headshots," and a new game mode: the much anticipated creative mode, which launches in two days. Watch the season 7 trailer here
