After revealing the 2018 Freshman list earlier this month, XXL has been gradually rolling out the individual freestyles of each of the inductees. Today, West Palm Beach, Florida-based rapper Wifisfuneral gets his moment, sharing an acapella verse where he shares some personal bars about his daughter, drops some braggy punchlines, and never sticks to one flow for too long. As far as the Freshman list goes, Wifisfuneral may be the most under-the-radar rapper of the bunch, so his appearance on the cover stands to gain him some new fans. It comes at a good time for the rapper, who just released his new project, Ethernet, which promised to be the first in a series, earlier this month.

Last March, Wifisfuneral announced his signing with Interscope/Alamo Records. At the time, he expressed excitement at the new opportunity. "Bro I'm about to be 20 and all this shit happening to me," he wrote. "If you hating thank you. Because you only motivate me to prove you wrong."

Back in 2016, we had a conversation with Wifisfuneral last September in which we discussed adolescent rebellion, getting to meet Earl Sweatshirt, and the making of his project Black Heart Revenge. Read it here.
