"I know my father going to smash me."

Khabib Nurmagomedov is still awaiting to learn what kind of sanctions he'll face from the UFC and the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but whatever comes will apparently pale in comparison to his father's punishment.

Following Khabib's dominant fourth round victory against Conor McGregor at UFC 229 on Saturday night, the undefeated lightweight champion jumped out of the octagon to attack a member of McGregor's camp, Dillon Danis, and all hell broke loose. Three members of Khabib's camp were arrested as a result of the melee and the whole ordeal overshadowed what had been an amazing PPV card.

Speaking with the media immediately afterward, Khabib said, "This is respect sport, not a trash-talking sport. I want to change the game. People talk shit about opponents, father, religion. You cannot talk about religion, nation. You cannot talk about this stuff. For me, this is very important." He added, "I know my father going to smash me."

Khabib's father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, recently echoed that statement during an interview with a Russian media group, saying that his sanctions will be "much stronger" than anything handed down by Dana White.

"You can do whatever you want in the octagon; outside of it, there's children, women, random people. My team has always been known for its discipline, hence my sanctions to Khabib will be much stronger than the ones from UFC."

Nurmagomedov was due to receive $2 million for his fight against McGregor, but the NSAC is withholding his purse pending an investigation into the post-fight brawls.
