Fortnite keeps finding ways to improve. Game developer Epic Games has ushered gamers into the fourth season, and recently they announced a one hundred million dollar contribution to fan prizes for their new competitive play. Fortnite's dive into the eSports world was expected, but their lucrative competition rewards will earn them even more clout.

That announcement wasn't enough for data miners, who got their hands on even more good news.  Although they were originally announced months ago, jetpacks are finally making their way into the game. According to Forbes, the jetpack update announcement has been confirmed in-game, but first, data miners found files that mentioned jetpacks. They also discovered a new limited time game mode called Close Encounters. “Close quarters combat with Shotguns & Jetpacks! If you find a jetpack, double-tap the jump button to take off," reads the description. "Keep the button held down to apply thrust. Make sure to land before it runs out of fuel!” The update is expected to be released before the start of Week 5.

The new limited-time game mode will be a refreshing twist to the already entertaining game. Gamers will be able to launch themselves into and around the enemy's structure to pull off ruthless shotgun kills.
