Netflix is in the lead to secure the film.

Kevin Hart's IMDB must be stacked. The comedian and actor stars in several new films a year, and is still enjoying the success of last holiday season's surprise hit Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. Hart is gearing up for the releases of his next films, Night School and The Secret Life of Pets 2, both of which are expected to do well at the box office. The latter, a family film about animals that can talk, made an astonishing $875 million worldwide, which further solidified Hart as a bankable star. Now, it's being reported that Hart is also attached to produce and star in Black Stallions.

According to DeadlineNetflix has almost completed a deal that will earn them the rights to Black Stallions. The film is a comedy that focuses on rival brother jockeys. Avengers: Infinity War star Don Cheadle and Get Out's Lil Rel Howery are attached to star as the brothers, while Hart plays an important supporting character. While nothing is set in stone, the deals are all on the table now. Kevin Hart's Hartbeat Productions will produce the film. Jay Longino, who penned the script for the basketball comedy Uncle Drew, will also write the script for Black Stallions
