In an interview with NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Donovan Mitchell outlined his plan to recruit pending free agent Paul George to his team, the Utah Jazz. The rookie phenom remarked on how the league's biggest stars always sought him out after the game for a brief exchange. Mitchell thinks the respect he "earned" from his peers should help him plot the best scenario for his team

It's no secret that a lot of superstar players begin dialoguing in secret, outside the seeing-eye of their respective franchises. The NBA even launched a probe looking into the matter, after allegations of collusion between Chris Bosh and LeBron James started piling up. The league came to their very own conclusion, stating they had insufficient evidence to prove any tampering in the formation of the Miami Heat Big 3.

On the legal side of things, Donovan Mitchell told Wojnarowski that he was responsible from bringing a few key players to Louisville during his college days. "I was the lead recruiter at Louisville. I think I signed four or five guys before I left," Mitchell said on the Podcast. "I think I can recruit some guys. Coach (Rick Pitino) and coach Kenny Johnson taught me some things." Woj then proposed Paul George as a potential recruit for Mitchell and he agreed the current Thunder pivot would be a top priority come July.

“Why not play with us" You look at how we move the ball. We play with guys who don’t care who scores the most, who rebounds the most. … We play with guys who genuinely want to win."

It'll be interesting to see how the dominoes fall in the offseason, all things considered.
