First Man, second trailer.

Ryan Gosling is teaming with Academy Award-winning director Damien Chazelle for a second time in the upcoming film First Man. The film surrounds the groundbreaking Apollo 11 flight that landed the first two people on the moon in 1969 with Gosling as astronaut Neil Armstrong. We've already seen one trailer for the film, but a second look at the movie has now been released. Watch it below.

Gosling and Chazelle previously teamed for "La La Land," the Oscar-winning film about the L.A. jazz scene that briefly appeared to have won best picture over Moonlight before the award was handed to the rightful winner following a now-infamous mix-up.

First Man is scheduled to hit theatres on October 12th. It will also feature performances from Jason Clarke, Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit, and Lukas Haas. Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer. It will be written by written by Josh Singer as an adaptation of First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong by James R. Hansen.

The film will not feature a scene where the American flag is planted on the moon, a choice Neil Armstrong's sons have defended against those who call its absence "Anti-American." “We do not feel this movie is anti-American in the slightest,”Rick Armstrong and Mark Armstrong said in a statement with author James R. Hansen. “Quite the opposite. But don’t take our word for it. We’d encourage everyone to go see this remarkable film and see for themselves.”
