Jay-Z jokingly attempted to stop Blue from dropping $19k on a Sidney Poitier painting.

Beyoncé and her 6-year-old daughter Blue Ivy made a strong impression at Saturday night's Wearable Art Gala. The second annual event was hosted by the WACO Theater Center, co-founded by Bey's mother Tina Knowles and her husband Richard Lawson. The night's theme, #WACOtoWakanda, was inspired by Marvel's Black Panther, and inspired two matching gold gowns from Bey and Blue. Blue also rocked a flashy gold headpiece, which she seemed pretty excited about.

Later, Blue Ivy was actually placing bids on some of the items, to the point that Jay-Z jokingly grabbed her sign to prevent her from hiking up the price. Tyler Perry eventually outbid her $19,000 bid on a Sidney Poitier painting at $20k.

Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter, who has been featured on songs from The Black Album and 4:44, was honored with the very first Everyday People award.

Michelle Obama also made an appearance, congratulating Beyoncé on her award, while Blue wrote out a cute note to both her mom and grandmother to celebrate their honors.
